Vitamin D is needed to activate the immune system response against tuberculosis is revealed in studies in the U.S.. Diseases caused by bacteria that cause many casualties that need serious attention from you all. Researchers have long known that vitamin D plays a role in body's response to Tuberculosis, but a study in the journal Science Translational Medicine suggests it should be present in sufficient levels to trigger an immune response. So treatment must be done within a certain intensity in order to obtain optimal results.
This finding may be crucial to efforts to treat diseases in the world such as Africa, because people with darker skin tend to be more susceptible to tuberculosis and are also more likely to have a deficiency of vitamin D. Although people can get vitamin D through sun exposure, dark skin contains more melanin that protects the body from ultraviolet rays and also reduces the production of vitamin D.

"For centuries, vitamin D has been used to treat intrinsic Tuberculosis," said the study's first author Mario Fabri, who conducted research for the study while at the University of California, Los Angeles and is currently at the Department of Dermatology at the University of Cologne, Germany.

"Sanatoriums dedicated to Tuberculosis patients are traditionally placed in a sunny location that seems to help patients - but does anyone know why this works," he said.
Basically, these efforts can also reduce the transmission case.

"Our findings suggest that elevated levels of vitamin D through supplementation can improve immune response to infections such as tuberculosis." Sun exposure can increase the body's immune system will be able to reduce the levels of TB bacteria in the patient's body.

Previous studies by the same research team found that vitamin D plays a key role produce a molecule called cathelicidin, which helps the innate immune system to kill bacteria Tuberculosis.

The current findings indicate that vitamin D is required for T-cells, which respond to the threat as part of the adaptive immune system, to produce a protein called interferon that directs cells to attack bacteria. That's what will take effect in patients with tuberculosis.

"At the time of drug-resistant form of tuberculosis emerge, understanding how to enhance innate and acquired immunity through natural vitamin D may be very helpful," said co-author Barry Bloom, former dean of faculty at the Harvard School of Public Health. The benefits you get from vitamin D would be very useful if you suffer from tuberculosis.

In many countries found alarming incidence of Tuberculosis. Many deaths from the disease due to lack of knowledge about care and handling. Order taking medication to treat the disease and treatment efforts are experiencing is the main factor to deal with tuberculosis.
